BuildBud was founded by Ben Boucher, a construction professional with over 25 years of experience in the domestic building industry.
Through his own construction company, Ben has successfully completed more than 300 residential construction projects, including extensions, structural alterations and full home renovations.
Working directly with homeowners throughout those projects gave Ben a clear understanding of where things often start to go wrong — not during the build itself, but much earlier in the process.
Too often, homeowners were investing in drawings and design ideas without fully understanding the real construction implications, the likely cost of the project, or whether the design was the most effective use of their budget.
By the time builders became involved, plans were often overly complex, unrealistic for the available budget, or difficult to price accurately.
That repeated pattern is what led Ben to develop BuildBud.
